Portishead Around The Houses Art Trail is back for a second year following the highly successful launch in 2018. It’s a collaboration of local artists, giving everyone the chance to view art in the homes and studios of the artists who create it.
There are 27 artists exhibiting this year. Some you may already know from North Somerset Arts, and others are new. Some homes have more than one artist per venue.
The event takes place over the weekend of June 29th and 30th and each venue will be open from 10 am to 5 pm.
All of the exhibitions are free and are a wonderfully informal chance to see some of the area’s finest and most successful artists. The art will be affordable and there is no pressure to buy. However, if you do want to buy, doing so directly from the artist avoids the commission charged by galleries.
The artwork is very varied – from watercolours, oils, pastels, sculpture and ceramics to jewellery, photography, prints and much more.

Most of the venues are being held in the Artists own homes so please be mindful of this when visiting. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
